photo update

Update on images for music magazine.
The band I want to use are back in practice after finding new members so I will be able to get pictures shortly if I can’t get to them. I’ve chosen to use my girlfriend to be a model. I would have images then but the reflection of my genre using the artist on the front page. It wouldn’t be a big issue but the genre I have chosen is definitely dominated by men.

feedback

Based on the feedback I received, I'm going to change the images i have on my front cover are crap and blurry. My front cover will get changed when the band starts practicing again but at the moment everything is on stand still and no one at college represents my genre, they all look like Justin Bieber. I will upload more photos and videos prior to the feedback as this will help present my genre.

  • Your blog is well organised and you have done a lot of research before going on to your final product. I also like all of your planning for costumes/locations etc.
  • The bright colours look appealing and the different fonts are effective. You have also carried some conventions such as barcodes.
  • You should take another image and put features on there.
Peer feedback from Szymon Bukowksi.

I like that your blog is organized well and everything is well explained. You follow some convection like the bar code or the title in the right place. Long shot is used on the front cover witch is very original as not many people do this. The negative side is your front cover is the quality of the pictures, I think they could be done in studio using more suitable lighting. Also there could be more text on front cover as it looks empty.

Overall assessment of blog: The blog is very good an contains most things asked for in class, to improve I would suggest adding your own things to help it stand out and become more individual to you. For example, more videos of bands you like.
Strengths of front cover: Your front cover contains most conventions of a music magazine front coves, such as the Masthead, headline, sell lines etc. There is also a continuing color scheme which helps it become create realism.
Areas for development: Use a mid shot for the front cover.

  • Overall assessment of blog: There are lots of posts and is up to date, there is lots of detail in the writing on each post. There are also lots of videos which is good.
  • Strengths of front cover: The additional secondary images which could be referring to things in the magazine.
  • Areas for development for front cover: The main image is quite blurry, the image is also quite dark
